shaping, molding, forming.  Oh the LOVE of CLAY!

ABOUT ME
I had been doing pottery casually for 16 years via public classes, rented studio space and then in my home based pottery studio in Wyoming, MN.  In 2018 I decided to begin offering group classes to share my space and provide the opportunity for others to satisfy their need to be creative! It's been slow getting started. Figuring out all the details of starting a retail pottery business to sell my own work, offering classes that attracted attention.  Choosing projects that would be fun for students balanced with the level of difficulty was a real eye opener!  Through trial and error, and error, and error.... I've landed on 5 projects that students seem to enjoy and are challenging, yet still yield great results.  (See clay lab page for details.) I've also had the opportunity to teach a bit through Forest Lake community education which has been a treat.  People trying clay for the first time is so fun to watch.  Sometimes they're totally surpised at the skills they doubted they had.  I always say "You don't need experience.  I will show you. It's gonna be awesome!"

My personal clay journey is often an interrupted one.  There's just never enough time to do all I want to do between pottery, work, friends, family and chores.  And cats, dogs, chickens, gardens......

For now I will get into the studio when I can and continue sharing my love of clay with those who are interested.

Long term goals are online sales and open studio sales twice a year.  On that note I better get my butt into the studio!

Hope to see you soon!
